Job summary
Hillingdon Health Centre is a welcoming, well-established and dynamic practice in North West London, with a list size of approximately 8500 patients.
We are recruiting for one or two enthusiastic GPs on a one-year fixed-term maternity cover contract, to join our friendly clinical team of 4 GPs, one practice nurse and one HCA, and our amazing reception and admin team. Hours and sessions are negotiable, and we are open to job shares.
As a salaried GP, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and interests. You will have access to a range of training and development opportunities both in-house and through the North West London Training Hub. We are also expanding our educational and training portfolio, with increasing opportunities to teach medical students and trainees.
Clinical sessions consist of a mix of telephone and face to face appointments. On average two-thirds of the appointments are via telephone, with face to face appointments spread out throughout the rest of the clinic.
Main duties of the job
The Candidate is expected to undertake consultations in all clinical settings as directed. These consultations will cover the breadth of General Medical Services and Enhanced Service obligations. You will be expected to support the partners in providing such services as outlined in the GMS Contract and any other National, Directed or Local Enhanced Service agreed between the practice and other stakeholders. In addition, contribution to the success of the practice achieving maximum QOF points and other practice objectives will form part of this role.
Clinical responsibilities in accordance with the sessions mutually agreed, conducting consultations with a blend of online consultations, telephone and face to face consultations. You will be expected to make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
The post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working in Primary Care with clinical administrative tasks which are but not limited to; checking and taking appropriate actions on triaged tasks received, EMIS and DOCMAN tasks and queries, and any other means received by the surgery, checking and completing investigation results, referral letters, and one duty doctor session per week…
