Speech and Language Teaching Assistant | Job Summary

• Full-time term time only Speech and Language Teaching Assistant role | Long term contract until July 2025
• Ideal role for an aspiring Educational Psychologist or Speech and Language Therapist
• Role paying £400-£500 per week | Paid weekly on PAYE basis
• Experience working with children with SEN is desirable
• First-Class or 2:1 Psychology/Linguistics degree from a top 20 UK University

Speech and Language Teaching Assistant | Job Role

• Be Patient, empathetic, and adaptable to the diverse needs of students.
• Deliver engaging 1:1 and small group sessions to build students confidence and communication abilities.
• Help students access the curriculum by adapting learning materials and providing additional guidance where necessary.
• Collaborate with teachers, SEN coordinators, and therapists.
• Monitoring progress and adapting support to align with individual development plans.

Speech and Language Teaching Assistant | School Details

This Speech and Language Teaching Assistant role is based in a centrally located Tower Hamlets primary school with excellent transport links. Youll collaborate with the SENCo and speech and language therapists to provide tailored support to students.
