An exciting opportunity has arisen within our sexual health services in Islington. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team. We have a 1 year Fixed Term, maternity cover, Band 5 Staff Nurse vacancy at the Archway Centre. This post may potentially be expanded for a further 6 months.

Main duties of the job

 

The Archway Centreis a well-established integratedservice located in Islington. We area busy progressive department with a multidisciplinary team approach to care. We offer a friendly and supportive environment. We have a genuine and active commitment to education and staff professional development.For this position you will:

  • Be a registered general nurse with at least 6 months post registration experience.
  • Have a flexible and proactive approach to nursing.
  • Have a genuine interest in sexual and reproductive health and be willing to undertake training. Sexual Health or HIV experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Informal visits are encouraged.When writing your personal supporting statement; please include any experience you have working in sexual and reproductive health or HIV;and the reasons you would like to work in the sexual health team.
