1. Information WORKgateways collects and what it does with that information

Registrations and Job Applications
For you to take advantage of WORKgateways UK job services we store personal information you enter through WORKgateways. Much of this information is optional including resumes.
When you register through WORKgateways or apply for a job for the first time, you will be presented with a form. Information entered on this form is stored and can be accessed by you at any time through your ‘User Name’ and “Password”. If you forget your User Name or Password please email us. Once you are logged in you can change and add information at any time. This information is designed specifically to assist you in finding a job in the UK. WORKgateways may use the information you provide to contact you. This is so we can assist you in the process of finding suitable employment.
When you first set up your file there are a number of areas that are required such as First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, your UK travel plans, Industry and Sub Industry. Other information is optional although it is all used to assist you in gaining employment that is most closely suited to your personal needs.
We prefer you to change your own personal information by logging in to your file, however from time to time we may change your personal information if you advise us by phone or email. By notifying us of changes in your personal details by email or telephone you are giving WORKgateways consent to change your file. You can view and update any of your information at any time.
i. Applying for a Job
When you apply for a job you will be asked to log in or fill out a form. The information you provide on this form, or from your file, is then emailed to the recruitment agency or company to whom you have chosen to apply. Apart from you and WORKgateways no other agency, company or service provider will have access to any of your personal information unless you choose to share it. When you update your file at a later time the agencies or companies you have applied to may have access to your updated information. This will help you to secure a position most suited to your needs and requirements. You can deactivate your file at any time so that Agencies and Companies cannot view your personal information. Please email us if you wish to deactivate your account.
ii. Registering with Agencies
When you register with agencies you will be asked to log in or fill out a form. The information you provide on this form or from your file is then made available to the recruitment agencies or companies with whom you have registered. Apart from you and WORKgateways no other agency, company or service provider will have access to any of your personal information. When you update your file at a latter time the agencies or companies may have access to your updated information. This will help you to secure a position most suited to your needs and requirements. You can deactivate your file at any time so that Agencies and Companies cannot view your personal information. Please email us if you wish to deactivate your account.
Our e-newsletter is an optional service that you can subscribe to without being registered through WORKgateways or while you are registered through WORKgateways.
To receive our newsletter you need to provide your Email Address and First Name. You will be given the option to enter other personal information and items of interest. This information is optional. The information provided enables WORKgateways to understand the types of information and services you are interested in so we can provide a helpful and informative newsletter. None of your personal data provided through the newsletter is given or sold to any other party. Aggregate data is sometimes shared with WORKgateways recruitment partners and service providers so that they can see what interests WORKgateways e-newsletter subscribers have. You can unsubscribe to the newsletter at any time. Instructions to unsubscribe are at the bottom of each newsletter sent out and within our archives.
2. Security of Information
WORKgateways takes all reasonable efforts to ensure the information we hold is secure. You may change your password at any time by logging in. Only you and WORKgateways can change the information held. You can change it at any time. WORKgateways will only change your details if you have advised us of changes by telephone or email. You can view and modify any of your personal information held at any time. Please keep your password and username secure. We cannot control and hold no liability for the use of information by any of our recruitment partners. For our recruitment partners to get access to any of your information you must choose to apply to a job of theirs or register with their agency or company. Please advise us immediately if you believe there has been a breach of security.
